‘Happy slapper’ mob take photos of impaled
boy as he lies in agony

Teenagers gathered around a boy impaled after a bike
accident to take photos of him on their mobile phones in the
Lozells area of Birmingham. It is feared the images taken by the
teenagers will be exchanged via the phone network by youngsters
throughout Britain in a matter of days.

Judge names boy who raped teacher

A schoolboy given a life sentence for raping a teacher at his
London school failed at the High Court to keep his identity
secret.
The judge lifted an anonymity order on Dwayne Best, 16, of East
Dulwich, London, describing the “horrific” ordeal that
had left his victim mentally and physically scarred.

Army will still recruit 16-year-old

Threat of Asbos for landlords whose tenants are
anti-social

Landlords who are unable or unwilling to control unruly tenants
could be served with anti-social behaviour notices, under new plans
issued by ministers. If they do not, tenants could be told not to
pay any rent, even though it was their behaviour causing trouble in
the first place. The executive said the measures were designed to
put pressure only on those landlords who persistently failed to
live up to their responsibilities but the Association of Rental
Letting Agents in Scotland called them perverse.

Freed paedophile quizzed over sex attack
A paedophile who caused uproar by moving to the same
street as his child victim after his release from jail has been
questioned by police in connection with a separate sex attack. The
man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was arrested on
suspicion of a sex attack on a female aged over 16 by Dyfed Powys
Police but he was not charged and has now been released. The Crown
Prosecution Service is currently considering the case.
