A 15-year-old boy from Northumberland has ended up in court simply
for doing as he was told.
An administrative error meant that he was subject to an antisocial
behaviour order that required him to get drunk and cause distress
to the community and he duly obliged.
Police are now trying to track down the magistrate who made the
order so it can be reversed.
A spokesperson for Northumbria Police said the case seemed to be an
“unfortunate one-off”.
