Less than a quarter of people with learning difficulties from
ethnic minority groups are known to services, according to a
report.
The report by the Valuing People support team finds that south
Asian people are the most under-represented, while white people are
over-represented.
Only just over half of all partnership boards responded to the
survey on services for ethnic minorities.
The report also raises concerns that only 22 per cent of
partnership boards used the learning disability development fund to
support race equality initiatives in 2004-5.
