Rape girl’s mother charged with neglect

A mother whose daughter was raped while on holiday in Greece has
been charged with neglect.

In a landmark case the woman faces jail if found guilty of failing
to protect her 15-year-old daughter on the island of
Zakynthos.

Tory MP’s gibes at Lottery grant for gipsies’ film
earns rebuke

A Welsh Tory MP has been heavily criticised for panning a lottery
award being given to project on gipsy and traveller
communities.

The Heritage Lottery fund gave Hampshire County Council £48,
000 towards the production of a video aimed at giving school
children a greater understanding of the traditions of travelling
communities.

Monmouth MP David Davies, who is also AM for the same constituency,
had attacked the grant.

Nurse struck off for assaulting elderly woman

A nurse and former care home owner has been found guilty of
professional misconduct and struck off the register for attacking a
care home resident.

Gillian Ann Francis, 64, pulled a female resident of Brynderwen
Nursing Home in Tycoch, Swansea, into sitting position by her
hair.

The attack left the woman with a head injury.
