In a letter to fellow board members, Campbell said: “Scie
is embarking on a new phase of its development and requires a chair
with the skills to take it to stage two. My skills lie in setting
up organisations and establishing a culture… In the near
future, Scie will need someone more skilled in operational
development and managed growth.”
Campbell also outlined her desire to make time for a greater
involvement in campaigning issues, particularly decision-making at
the end and beginning of life.
Campbell, who has a life-limiting condition, told Community
Care: “When you live with a life-limiting disability you
are very aware of time and there are a lot of other things I want
to do.”
She also said she wanted more freedom to speak out as an
individual on issues of passionate concern to her.
