The National Council for Voluntary Organisations launched a free
membership scheme for small organisations today to help them to get
their voices heard, writes Amy
Taylor.
Under the plans, membership to the NCVO would be free to small
organisations which have an annual income of under £10,
000.
NCVO chief executive Stuart Etherington said that the move was
intended to help the organisation to be representative of the
diverse range of voluntary and community groups.
NCVO also launched its vision for the future of the voluntary
and community sector alongside the membership package. The
strategic agenda for the next five to10 years aims to bring about a
comprehensive understanding of the distinctive value of the sector
and to improve relationships and partnerships both within the
sector and with others.
