Community Care readers have the chance to put their stamp on government policy – and enjoy tea at the House of Lords to boot.
Local government minister David Miliband has agreed with the magazine to run a competition with readers to rename the government’s Link Age Plus policy, which is designed to provide one-stop shops for older people (Sure start for older people).
The winner will be able to take tea at the Lords with Office of the Deputy Prime Minister junior minister Baroness Andrews.
But Miliband emphasised that the deputy prime minister’s office would still have the final say.
