Funding is still available for councils in England to support private, voluntary and independent sector employers improve the skills of their children’s services staff.
The Children’s Workforce Development Council made £3.3m available to councils in June and applications have to be in this month.
Unitary councils are eligible for £20,000 and two-tier authorities are eligible for £30,000. So far, 103 authorities have applied.
The money aims to involve the sector in planning and improving services for children and young people in the current financial year.
