Tenth care trust to launch

The 10th care trust in England will be launched next week in Solihull in the West Midlands.

It will be responsible for commissioning health and adult social care across Solihull, and delivering health and adult care services currently provided by the local primary care trust and council.

As such it will have more extensive responsibilities than most existing care trusts.

The council’s cabinet member for healthier communities and older people, Bob Sleigh, said: “Over time people will really feel the benefit of the care trust as it provides seamless health and social care to those who depend on us.”
