Social worker allegedly failed to follow procedures for protecting vulnerable children

A social worker who allegedly claimed expenses she was not entitled to and went to work smelling of alcohol will appear before the General Social Care Council’s conduct committee next week.

The week-long hearing, which will take place in London, will also consider allegations that the unnamed social worker failed to follow proper procedures for the protection of vulnerable children.

If she is found to have breached the GSCC’s code of practice, which all registered must adhere to, the worker, from Trowbridge, could be removed from the register.
