Health minister Lord Warner retires

Health minister Lord Norman Warner has retired.

Warner, 66, has an array of experience in health and social care and was chair of the Youth Justice Board from its creation in 1998 until June 2003.

His career included a spell as director of social services at Kent Council and time as a senior policy adviser to the home secretary. In 1992 he chaired the national inquiry into selection, development and management of staff in children’s homes.
