What’s your first memory?

I remember the magic of learning to read but I can’t actually date it.

What three words best describe you?
“I feel fine”!

What’s been your best job?
I’m doing it!

If you were stuck on a desert island, and you could take one person and one object, who and what would they be?
My partner and a crate of champagne – we could always use the empty bottles for messages.

Who inspires you and why?
My grandson Milo – he always lights up the day.

Where is your favourite place?
Here are a few:
* The Malvern Hills
* Steephill Cove, Isle of Wight
* The Royal Mile, Edinburgh
* Palma
* San Francisco

There are very many more. Different places for different moods.

Which celebrity would you want to play you in a film?
I’d like to think it was Steve McQueen but fear it might be Bob Hoskins.

What was the last CD you bought?
Difficult to specify the actual last one as I buy so many. Perhaps ‘The Crane Wife’ by The Decemberists.

What are you reading?
‘Unforgettable Journeys to take before you die’, S Watkins and C Jones
‘Words and Images’, Eduardo Chillida
‘Untold Stories’, Alan Bennett
‘The Life and Times of the Thunderbolt Kid’, Bill Bryson

What’s your favourite film?
Easy Rider or Whale Rider depending on my mood.

‘Big Brother’ – Treat or Trash?
It’s been a bit of both, until recent events turned me right off.

Pets – yes or no?
Not at the moment

If you were on Death Row, what would be your final meal?
Something that would take a long time to make!
