Young people call on Gordon Brown for ‘Budget for Young People’

Britain’s young people want Gordon Brown to mark his last Budget Speech as chancellor as a ‘Budget for Young People’ by investing £5 billion in the future generation.

Extra cash would be used to fund youth clubs and free transport for all under 18 year olds.

Research for Clubs for Young People, which represents 3,500 youth clubs, showed that 43 per cent of young people want to get active in their community, rather than take part in extra curricular activities in school.
