Lucy Dawes has joined the Youth Justice Board as its new director of performance, and aims to ensure more effective work on diversity. Dawes was formerly deputy head of race equality at the Department for Communities and Local Government and crime reduction adviser and head of drugs at the Government Office for London. She has more than 20 years’ experience in the probation service.

YWCA England & Wales, a charity working with the most disadvantaged young women across the two countries, has a new chief executive. Deborah Annetts was previously chief executive for Dignity in Dying. Before joining the voluntary sector, Deborah was a lawyer working in sex discrimination.

Roland Earl has been appointed as business development director at NCB, where he will be responsible for managing several teams within the strategy, resources and communications division. He will also work closely with the children’s charity’s deputy chief executive on the development and implementation of NCB’s shared service model.

ASRA Greater London Housing Association has appointed Laura Meddings as its new neighbourhood services manager. Previously a team leader for the London and Quadrant Housing Group, she will lead the tenancy services team and wants to focus on tenants’ concerns including antisocial behaviour issues and community safety.
