The government’s renewal of its Valuing People agenda for people with learning disabilities will be published within the next few weeks.
National co-director for learning disabilities Rob Greig told a conference on Friday, held as part of Community Care’s A Life Like Any Other campaign, that the Valuing People “refresh” paper would be delayed were Gordon Brown to call a Novemeber election.
But the prime minister’s decision not to hold an election this autumn means the paper is likely to be published at the end of October of beginning of November.
