Derbyshire County Council invites suitably experienced and CSCI registered home care organisations, with a minimum of three years experience in the provision of home care services, to tender for a contract within a 39 unit Extra Care Housing Scheme for older people at Waltham House, Wirksworth.
The service will normally be provided to vulnerable older people in their own self contained accommodation who have been assessed as meeting the access criteria for home care provision.
The contract is expected to commence in Spring / Summer 2008 and will run for a three year period subject to annual reviews, with options to extend on a yearly basis for up to three years. The Service Provider will provide 24 hour home care, 365/6 days a year through their on-site care staff and management team, providing a minimum of 291 care hours per week which will be reviewed annually. Two of the units will provide short stay accommodation.
Organisations submitting a tender for this service will need to complete an application form in the tender pack, ensuring they have addressed the following issues in their submission.
Details of previous relevant experience, demonstrating positive outcomes for service users, quality of care and dignity in care.
