Invitation to tender: Employment development for people with learning disabilities

The London Borough of Lewisham is looking for a partner agency todeliver a number of key outcomes as part of its employment of adultwith learning disabilities strategy.

This project has £150,000 available over the next 18 months to establishthe infrastructure and develop the employment market locally with theoutcome of delivering real jobs for people with learning disabilities.

Applicants will need to have demonstrable experience of developingand delivering initiatives which have increased the number of peoplewith learning disabilities in sustainable employment.

The partner agency will have significant autonomy over how this work isdelivered. However, a strong local presence is envisaged and a localservices office base will be made available.

In the delivery of this project the successful applicant will be expectedto employ people with learning disabilities within the contract price,either directly or through sub contract to a learning disability specific3rd party.
