A social worker has been removed from the register for having an inappropriate personal relationship with a client, the General Social Care Council said today.
The man, who cannot be named to protect the identity of the service user, was a senior social worker at the time he met the young woman, who was described as a vulnerable user of mental health services.
The conduct heard that he saw the woman on several occasions out of hours, putting her at risk of damage to her mental health and her ongoing care.
