Expressions of interest for Talfourd Place, Residential Children’s Home Contract

Southwark Council is seeking to invite competitive tenders forthe provision of a residential children’s home contract at 7 Talfourd Place. This is registered as a 7 bedded children’s home for young people aged 11 plus based in Peckham, South East London.

The contract will commence on 1 July 2009 and will be for a period of 3 years, with the successful tenderer being the organisation that is considered to have best met all the established criteria and whom provides a qualitative and best value service that meets all the requirements of the specification and objectives set by the Council. The Contract will incorporate an extension period of up to 1 year that will be at the sole discretion of the Council.

Organisations interested in tendering for this service must note that it is the Council’s view that the provision of the Acquired Rights Directive (77/187/EEC) TUPE will apply.

Suitably qualified and experienced organisations/companies who wish to tender are invited to complete a pre-qualification questionnaire. The aim of the questionnaire is to assist the authority in evaluating potential suppliers in a number of areas, including financial standing, experience and technical ability.

Pre qualification questionnaires will be available from11 February 2009, and the closing date for their return will be 4 March 2009.
