Provision of Community Support Services for Disabled Children and Young People

Cambridgeshire County Council is inviting applications from organisations wishing to tender for inclusion on an Approved List of Providers for the provision of Community Support Services for Disabled Children and Young People.

The Council has well established Community Support arrangements for Disabled Children and Young People with approximately 32,000 hours delivered each year by the Council and independent providers in a variety of settings. The Council is seeking to renew and develop its approved list of providers who can provide this service with a high level of quality and consistency.

The implementation of Aiming High will bring new opportunities with increased funding but also new challenges. Providers will need to demonstrate flexibility in their approach to service delivery and partnership working as new ways of supporting Disabled Children and Young People are developed. Providers must be registered as a ‘Domiciliary Care’ Provider with the Commission for Social Care Inspection to be considered for inclusion on the list.

The Contract will run for a period of three years. The approved list will be open and Providers can apply to join the list throughout this period. For Contracts beginning on the 1st June 2009 Providers are requested to apply within the tendering timescales provided. Applications made after this date will be assessed subject to available resources.

Expressions of Interest must be received by Thursday 12 March 2009 by e-mailing childrens.contracts@cambridgeshire.gov.uk

Requested Tender packs will be sent out from 5 March 2009 and must be returned completed by 4pm on Wednesday 15 April 2009.
