Invitation to Tender for the Provision of Specialist / BME Home Care Services to Adults and Older People

SPOT PROVISION- FRAMEWORK CONTRACT

Hackney Council, with a 3 Star rating, is inviting expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced organisations for the provision of Specialist Home Care and/or Culturally specific Home Care Services that will assist individuals who need support with daily activities. The successful providers will be placed on an accredited list and contracted on a ‘spot’ basis (as and when required) using a framework contract with no guaranteed hours.

The Specialist Homecare Services’ provision will include service users with the following specialist needs: Adults with Learning disabilities with challenging behaviour and autism; Dementia with challenging behaviour; Head and brain injury (including neurological conditions/ Multiple Sclerosis); Sensory loss – sight and/or hearing.

The Culturally Specific Homecare Services’ provision will include service users from the following communities within the London Borough of Hackney: Charedi, Jewish, Turkish, Bangladeshi, Pakistani, Vietnamese, and Somali.

The Council is inviting expressions of interest from Organisations with a proven track record in the provision of Home Care Services within a diverse and multicultural borough such as Hackney.

The new contract will be for a period of three (3) years to commence from November 2009 until October 2012 with the possibility of extension of up to 2 years (subject to satisfactory performance and the agreement of the Council).
