New Supported Living Scheme

West Berkshire Council invites expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced organisations to provide domiciliary care and support for adults with Learning Disabilities in an exciting new development for completion in December 2009.

The Council’s Community Services and A2 Dominion Housing Association are sponsoring the redevelopment of a residential home close to the centre of Newbury that will create a supported living scheme for people of all abilities, providing single and shared accommodation for 16 people including adapted apartments for people who also have physical disabilities.

The successful organisation will demonstrate the ability to implement the council’s mandate for providing high quality, person centred, local services for local people and will work in partnership with the Council’s own support broker to develop personal budgets for service users.

Organisations interested in expressing an interest in this opportunity are required to register their details at westberks.clickstream.com which is freeof charge. After registration, organisations will be able to download the prequalification documents.

The deadline for receipt of the pre-qualification documents is 12:00 on 5th May2009.
