Tender for the Provision of an Individual Carers Emergency Respite (ICER) Service

Cambridgeshire County Council invites expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced organisations to provide stand-in emergency care.

The Cambridgeshire Carers ICER Service has been set up to help carers plan for situations when a sudden unexpected emergency prevents them from being able to carry out their caring role.

This Emergency Planning Service is county wide for use by Carers who care for an adult with a disability or long-term illness. The person cared for must needsome support to manage at home safely over a period of 48 hours.

This contract will start in December 2009.

Expressions of interest must be received by 5 June 2009. Tender packs to interested providers will be sent out in the week commencing 8 June 2009 and must be returned completed by 4pm on Monday 6 July 2009.
