Husband denies murdering social worker wife

The husband of Surrey social worker Laura Davies Jones, who died after receiving a stab wound in December, has denied her murder.

The husband of Surrey social worker Laura Davies Jones, who died after receiving a stab wound in December, has denied her murder.

Richard Davies Jones, 33, a solicitor from Woodfield Lane, Lower Ashtead, Surrey, was charged on 13 December with murdering his 31-year-old wife.

He denied the charges at Guildford Crown Court today and was remanded in custody. The trial is to start on 11 July.

It is not yet known where Mrs Davies Jones was employed.
