Privacy information for job seekers: profile and CV information
Some of our websites offer you the ability to create a profile and upload a CV to our database. Your profile and CV may then be made available for searching, viewing over the internet and downloading by our customers. These may be direct recruiters, employment consultants or other organisations. Customers who request CVs matching your profile to be sent to them may receive your CV and profile via e-mail or CD Rom. Some of our customers may be located in countries outside the European Economic Area.
Your CV can only be viewed by a customer if you have consented to this within the profile section. You can choose to prevent our customers from accessing your personal details, CV or profile.
You can also choose to make your personal details and your CV anonymous, while having your profile available to be searched by recruiters. You can then choose to reveal yourself when you reply.
IMPORTANT: Your current employer may be one of our customers, or a client of one of our customers. We cannot restrict the customers who will access your CV or profile on our database and cannot be held responsible for any eventuality.
If you choose to create a profile and upload a CV to our database, we rely on you to ensure that your details are kept up to date. You should update your CV at least every six months, particularly if your contact details have changed. Once your profile and CV are on our database we will contact you every six months using your most recent contact details to ask whether you want it to remain there. If we do not hear from you, your profile and CV will be removed from our database.
We reserve the right to remove from our database CVs or profiles which include any content that we consider illegal or offensive.
We may use aggregated data to identify employment trends across different industries, such as salary averages. This information will not be capable of being linked to any personally identifying information about users.
If you create a personalised account on any of our websites it will be protected by your password and may only be accessed by you. It does not form part of our database available for searching or access by our customers. You can delete your account at any time.
