Frontline appoints leading academic to head development of new social work curriculum

Professor Donald Forrester, director of the University of Bedfordshire’s Tilda Goldberg Centre, joins the Frontline team.

Professor Donald Forrester from the University of Bedfordshire has been appointed as the academic lead for fast-track training programme Frontline.

Forrester will head a group of experts, including representatives from King’s College London’s Institute of Psychiatry, to develop a new curriculum for the Frontline Academy, which is due to start in summer 2014.

The well-respected academic is currently director of the University of Bedfordshire’s Tilda Goldberg Centre for Social Work and Social Care.

“Our aim is to make a difference in the lives of children and families with some of the most serious problems in our society,” said Forrester.

“Frontline will provide outstanding training for social workers to allow them to be the difference that makes a difference.”
