Speaker Profile: Professor Harriet Ward CBE Loughborough University

Professor Harriet Ward is director of the Centre for Child and Family Research and co-director of the Department for Education funded Childhood Wellbeing Research Centre (CWRC). She has over 20 years’ experience both as a research director and field researcher, as an adviser to policymakers and service providers, and as a social work practitioner.

She will be presenting the findings from her research:

 

Safeguarding Children Across Services: Messages from research on identifying and responding to child maltreatment, the overview of the Department of Health and Department for Education funded Safeguarding Children Research Initiative,

 

Location

The event will take place at Rufford Mill in Rufford Country Park which is located in the centre of Nottinghamshire. This is easily accessible via the A1 from the North or A614 for those travelling from the south of England.

For those travelling from outside of Nottinghamshire; minibus transport may be available from Nottingham rail station if required – please get in touch to express an interest.
