HCL Social Care launching an innovative recruitment partnership with Hertfordshire County Council

Hertfordshire County Council children’s services is proud of its pioneering, multi agency practice which has led to the winning of a number of prestigious awards and national recognition for good practice. Their Academy for Newly Qualified Social Workers provides intensive training, guidance and support prior to joining their frontline teams, while their Joint Child Protection Investigation Team, a multi agency team made up of police, health and social care, undertakes joint section 47 investigations. This has now been joined by HALO, their ground breaking police and social care team addressing sexual exploitation. Project Protector ensures each of their Locality Safeguarding Team benefits from two days per week dedicated police input to ensure aggressive or avoidant families with children on protection plans are seen and their protection plans are progressed. Police colleagues also undertake out of hours visits to protect children.

HCL Social Care is tasked with working in tandem with Hertfordshire County Council to promote and recruit to various exciting opportunities across the safeguarding teams as qualified social worker, senior practitioner, consultant social worker, team manager and service manager.
