Tender for the provision of Special Education Needs (SEN) and Residential Placements

Hampshire County Council Children’s Services Department are leading in a tender for the provision of SEN and Residential Placements on behalf of Bracknell Forest Council, Buckinghamshire County Council, Hampshire County Council, Isle of Wight Council, Portsmouth City Council, Reading Borough Council, Slough Borough Council, Southampton City Council, Surrey County Council, Swindon Borough Council and Wiltshire Council (to be known as the Mid Southern Authorities (MSA)).

The contract will start on the 1 October 2014 for a period of two years with the option to extend for three further years.

The approximate value based on the current provision is £96,500,000 per annum.

An open tendering route will be used.  A panel of providers will be established and providers who meet the required quality standards as defined in the specification and tested through the Tender Questionnaire will be admitted to the Panel of Providers and then ranked in order of best value.  The tender documents contain all the details that Providers will require in order to tender.

To take part in the tender, interested parties must register via the In-Tend website (https://in-tendhost.co.uk/hampshire/) where tender documents can be down-loaded.  The deadline for the return of tenders is 12pm on Monday 21^st July 2014.
