Hampshire Employment Service

Hampshire County Council invite suitably experienced providers to tender for the Hampshire Employment Service. This service will support people (16 years+) with Learning Disabilities, Physical Disabilities, Mental Health issues, Autism and other support needs to source a variety of work and work related opportunities. The service aims to improve individuals’ overall wellbeing and increased inclusion in their community.

Hampshire County Council wants to commission a service which will encourage people with support needs to make employment a realistic goal. The service will source, create and support sustainable work opportunities for service users which recognise and respond to the business needs of employers and benefit wider communities.

The contract for this service will be for 3 years initially with the option to extend, at the Council’s discretion, for up to an additional year and a further additional year on a 1+1 basis.

The county wide maximum annual budget (comprising both a core cost element and payment by results element) for this service will be up to £320,000 per annum based on an assumption of:

  • 1 Strategic Lead / Manager
  • 5 FTE Job Broker / Coaches

There may be some flexibility with the overall service structure but the model will need to deliver an identified and dedicated provision for each Local Implementation Group and be agreed with Hampshire Commissioners.

The anticipated contract commencement date is 4 July 2016.

Organisations interested in being considered for this opportunity will be required to register with and apply through Hampshire County Council’s online tendering opportunities portal: https://in-tendhost.co.uk/hampshire/

Expressions of interest for AS08042 Hampshire Employment Service must be made using In-Tend from 14th January 2016 with a deadline for submissions of 17th March 2016.
