Up to £37m of possible cuts to England’s mental health services have been uncovered over the past six months, a campaign group has revealed.
Rethink claimed 11 areas have recently made, or are threatened with, budget reductions. These are in addition to the £30m cuts it unearthed in April.
Rethink director of public affairs Paul Corry said: “It’s time for the government and trusts to stand up for mental health.”
The charity called for mental health to be included in the six key national priorities for the NHS.
