The Social Care Institute for Excellence will shift its focus from developing knowledge to changing practice, its corporate plan
for 2006-9 says.
The plan, issued this week, said Scie would work with front-line staff to develop practice in line with research, urge inspectorates to include research findings in performance assessments, and review take-up of its initiatives in the field.
It also said it would strengthen its ability to deal with changes in policy and practice and address gaps in services for ethnic minorities and other “seldom-heard” groups.
