Most back tougher sentences for abuse

Nearly four out of five visitors to Community
Care
’s website support the increase in the new sentence
for care workers who sexually abuse people with learning
difficulties.

Seventy-nine per cent back the amendment to the Sexual Offences
Bill which increases the proposed sentence from seven to 14 years,
with 21 per cent disagreeing.
