Kevin Robbie, the former chief executive of Forth Sector, one of Scotland’s leading social enterprises, has joined the social enterprise and finance team in the Office of the Third Sector. Robbie will be working on the Office of the Third Sector’s investment programmes and on overcoming barriers to subcontracting and consortia-building for third sector organisations bidding for public service contracts.

Independent specialist health and rehabilitation care provider Castlebeck has appointed Lee Reed as service development director to manage new project developments. Reed has more than 27 years’ experience in the health and social care sector and joins Castlebeck from the Huntercombe Group, part of Four Seasons Health Care, where he was operations director for the specialist care division. Before that, he spent 16 years in various roles with the Priory Group.

Grainia Long has been appointed as the new director of the Chartered Institute of Housing in Northern Ireland. She arrives at the CIH after two years as director of policy at the Equality Commission for Northern Ireland, where she led the body’s contribution to the recent Semple Review of Affordable Housing. Previously, Long worked as policy manager and as parliamentary and policy officer for Shelter Scotland.
