Targeted Family Support Service


The London Borough of Lewisham wish to establish a single ‘targeted’ level, outreach family support service. Our objective is to lower children’s needs so that they require only universal services.

The service will assign workers to a specific group of schools, whilst also maintaining a clear community focus and taking referrals from all partners. They will work with families who have children 0-19 who live or are educated in Lewisham, and utilise a whole family, holistic, key work approach. Families who would be supported by this service may have a range of needs such as: relationship difficulties, child/ren at risk of accommodation by the LA, anti-social behaviour and risk of tenancy loss

Tender submissions need to be returned by 12 noon, on Thursday 26th October 2009, with interview expected in the week 2nd – 6th November and contracts due to be awarded in February 2010 for an April 2010 start.
