How is stress impacting the UK’s social workers?

Help Community Care highlight how stress is affecting social workers by taking part in our anonymous survey

How is stress affecting you? Community Care is looking to find out how rising caseloads, vacancies and other pressures are impacting stress levels among social workers in an anonymous survey.

Last year’s survey found nearly a third of social workers had taken time off work due to stress in the previous 12 months and that half feel unable to discuss the pressure they are under with their line manager.

We want to find out how things have changed during 2014 and are inviting social workers working in the UK to share their experiences in our anonymous Social Work and Stress 2014 survey.

Community Care will use the results to identify trends in social worker stress, highlight the impact that stress has on people’s mental health and ability to do their jobs and press for more to be done to tackle heavy workloads and other causes of stress.

The survey closes on Wednesday 17 December 2014.
