It’s good to see the Association of County Councils going where
the Eurosceptics fear to tread by taking the initiative for
cross-border social services (News, page 6, 19-25 January).
The only question is: wouldn’t it be better if social services
departments improved their cross-border co-operation with health
and the police, not to mention other local departments or
neighbouring SSDs?
