Young people wanted for social work

Nearly six out of 10 visitors to Community Care’s website
believe it would be desirable for more younger people to enter
social work as a result of the new three-year degree
qualification.

Of those who responded to the poll, 59 per cent said it would be
a good thing for younger people to join the profession once the new
degree is introduced in 2003, with 41 per cent saying it would
not.
