Community Care, the weekly magazine for everyone in social care,
is seeking a unique individual.

The issues we cover are rarely far from the national headlines,
and are among the most controversial and emotive areas of social
policy, ranging from child protection to asylum seekers, care of
older people to mental health.

Practice Editor

Our practice section is expanding to provide must-have
information that directly helps practitioners in their jobs, every
single week, covering the rapidly changing field of social care. To
plan, develop, commission and edit the section, we need someone who
is both an expert in the field of social care and has excellent
editorial skills.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in a social
care agency, at either policy or practice level, with an
understanding of professional social work skills and values, and of
the way social care is currently expanding and developing. Some
editorial experience is also essential, preferably including
writing, commissioning and copy-editing.

This is a senior post on the magazine, with salary and benefits
to match.
