Deprived areas receive grant funding

Some of the most deprived urban and rural areas in Scotland are
to benefit from £2 million grant funding from the National
Lottery Good Causes Fund.

The funding is to go to community health initiatives in areas
such as the east end of Glasgow and the Western Isles to raise
healthy living awareness particularly tackling the needs of
children and young people. Scotland has some of the worst health
statistics in the world.
