Study boost for workers in Scotland

Social workers with no formal educational qualifications will be
able to improve their skills under a new programme.

Return To Learn, developed by the Workers’ Educational Association
in Scotland and trade union Unison, will give students a chance to
tackle basic skills including simple research, writing,
communication and presentation.

About 1,200 staff in Scotland are expected to benefit from the
£400,000 programme during the next two years.
