Trust to investigate after man charged with three murders

Camden and Islington mental health and social care trust, one of
the first care trusts to go live in April last year, is to carry
out an internal investigation concerning the man charged with three
murders following the discovery of human remains in bin bags .

Anthony Hardy had been receiving ongoing care from the trust
since 1995. He was last seen by services on 30 December, and his
next appointment had been due to take place in early January.

The trust plans to carry out “a thorough internal investigation”
led by an independent non-executive director, which it described as
standard procedure when a patient is involved in a serious
incident.

The trust said it was co-operating with police in their current
enquiries, and would be closely following any criminal
proceedings.
