Childminder addresses to remain private

Ofsted has agreed not to publish addresses of childminders on
its web site.

Inspection reports on individual childminders will be published
from April 2005, but using only their registration number and the
first part of their postcode.

Childminders were concerned that by publishing their full
private addresses the inspection body would be putting them, their
families and the children they care for at risk.
