Paul Ennals has been appointed interim chair of the
government’s Children, Young People and Families Workforce
Council for England. The council is one of five bodies which will
form the UK-wide Social Care, Children and Young People’s
Sector Skills Council.
Ennals who is chief executive of the National Children’s
Bureau said “Over two million people work on behalf of
children and young people and their families in England in a broad
range of professions. There is much that these workers have in
common and much that they can gain from developing closer working
relationships with each other.”
The council would be a “vital step in moving towards more
integrated workforce planning” across all these sectors, he
added.
