National Missing Person’s Helpline saved from closure

The National Missing Person’s Helpline has been saved from
closure after the Home Office approved a request for £300,000
for emergency funding, writes Maria
Ahmed.

The charity has also received substantial pledges from major
trusts and is “confident” that it will be able to raise
a further £300,000 to help safeguard its future.

Fears were raised that the charity would have to close by the
end of this month due to lack of funds.
