Award-winner inspired by the variety

Anne Marie Devaney is the agency care worker of the year. She won
the Recruitment and Employment Confederation’s award earlier this
month after being nominated by the Glasgow branch of social care
recruitment agency Swiis.

She said: “What I love about temping is the variety. One day I
might be caring for an elderly man, the next I could be changing
nappies or working with at-risk teenagers. It’s always challenging
and exciting.”

Moira McGowan from Swiis’s Glasgow office, said: “Our clients often
ask for Anne Marie by name, she is always in demand.”

Anne Marie pursued a career as a temp because she wanted the
flexibility to continue her voluntary work in North Lanarkshire.
