Minister to outline green paper plans Care services minister Liam
Byrne looks set to reveal further details about the future of the
adult care green paper next week.
In an interview with Community Care, Byrne said he would
wait until the end of consultation on 28 July before formulating a
follow-up.
But he hopes to announce some details of how the agenda will be
moved forward, including workforce reform issues, at a Department
of Health conference on 21 July.
Byrne will be joined by NHS chief executive Sir Nigel Crisp and the
national director for social care, Kathryn Hudson. Byrne will also
issue guidance next week on the use of technology in social
care.
