* To ensure compliance with the Data Protection Act, increasing staff awareness of their obligations by training, guidelines and policies should be high on the agenda. Many complaints and proceedings to date have involved the improper disclosure of information by staff. What steps will you be implementing to prevent improper disclosure?
* Data protection is part of person-centred care, and of professional judgement. What aspects of the law do you find to be most problematic, for example where it appears to require you to do things that at first glance do not seem necessary?
