A system for authorities to track children at potential risk who arrive from abroad could be rolled out following a successful pilot.
Police and immigration staff at Heathrow airport monitored 2,643 children on flights from Jamaica over three months and carried out assessments on 179. One was put in care.
Results from the pilot, which ended in January, will be analysed over the next month.
