Social work degree student Lisa Palmer was thrilled to win a laptop last week in a draw for readers of TARGET Social Care 2006 – the careers publication for students planning to work in social care.
“The articles in TARGET Social Care have been really useful because I will soon have to decide whether I want to work within children’s or adult services. The descriptions of each area of service are helpful, as well as the asylum seeker case study, which gave me an inssight into an area I haven’t yet had the chance to experience,” said Lisa. She is planning to use the laptop to help with her degree.
Sheffield University’s social work department also won £500 of book tokens in the prize draw.
TARGET Social Care is published in partnership with Community Care and GTI Specialist Publishers. Free copies are available from university career services and social work departments or order online at http://doctorjob.com/socialcare.
